As I grow older, the thing I appreciate most about maturity is that it provides perspective.
“You aren’t winning in life if you don’t face some adversity, right? I can’t tell you how happy I am to see you, Friday… I missed you.”
Kam Willard is up next on our #FeelsLikeFriday playlist series. The boy was anxiously waiting on his turn like Ginuwine at 10:10 PM, and got you laced up with a little something for your commute from the job to the weekend.
People had me fucked up this week. It’s probably because I was fasting. But my curls have been flourishing so I count it all joy. I’m ending the week on my St. Louis shit, doing shit to make me feel better. #TGIF #MakeThatMoneyDontLetItMakeYou
Man, so it was a matter of time before I had to punch in on one of these , so without further adieu , I present to you #FeelsLikeFriday Vol. 2. So to my understanding, these things are designed to musically describe your week, so let’s talk about it. This week for me was a share of ups, downs and a whole lot of chilling. I managed to secure another major interview bag, I made a lil bread this week, flirted with my fiancé all week, had an IDGAF moment with Dallas County Sheriff’s Department and in light of Trump’s sorry ass White House spread I thought back to my favorite president. It’s safe to say my week was a whirlwind of craziness, but no matter how crazy and/or chill your week is, never forget to call your mothers, especially if her name is Rosalind Reeves, because she will definitely let you know about your bitchassness. TGIF!
Friday. Freedom. Fun. Money. Music. To some degree, we can associate the GOOD day with one of these things, the things that sustain us. Friday is about letting the past go and embracing the positive promise of what lies ahead. I wanted to connect with our readers and listeners in a simple way as we celebrate the weekend so I’m introducing the “Feels Like Friday” series. Feels Like Friday is going to be a quick recap of the week through music but no matter what challenges I’ve had to overcome, my joy isn’t stolen. I hope you all enjoy and welcome your comments, critiques, suggestions and stories.

Vibe with me for a second. Re-imagine those isolated moments in life where we are alone in our space, our bodies are still, and simply just to ourselves. And, in these times our minds decide to wander off into a world full of self-analysis. Welcome to Introspection.
